Use the inspiring campuses and surrounding areas of Cambridge and Yale Universities as a playground of visual stimulation, ISSOS is the best place to learn or advance your photography skills. Learn to photograph the landscape, portraits of friends, nature and life in action. Use the art of photography to communicate, tell a story or advertise a product.

The digital photography summer school course teaches the fundamentals in a fun, informative and inspirational way. Summer students work with a professional tutor and learn the skills needed to capture, edit and produce quality photographs.
See the world around you as an unlimited source of inspiration
Understand the techniques involved in digital photography and edit photographs for the desired effect
Engage creative talent and produce photography that inspires others
Publish your work in the ISSOS Times, the summer schools newspaper
Topics and subjects will be selected daily and students will work with a professional tutor to create quality photographs, which will be showcased at the end of the course in ISSOS’s creative exhibition. In addition, the photography students will collaborate with the journalism students on articles covering a variety of topics, culminating in the production of the summer school’s newspaper, The ISSOS Times.

Learn how to use the art of photography to communicate, tell a story or advertise a product and capture life at ISSOS and the historic campus and surroundings.

Please note all students taking this program must bring an SLR camera, for recommedations on make and model please contact us.

Descrizione della scuola

L'esclusivo programma scolastico estivo ISSOS offre agli studenti delle scuole superiori, di oltre 70 nazionalità (età compresa tra 13 e 18 anni) diverse, l'opportunità di combinare apprendimento, divertimento e avventura in una delle tre città storiche di St Andrews, Cambridge e Yale. Il nostro programma di tre settimane accoglie studenti provenienti da tutto il mondo, mescolando persone di madrelingua inglese e studenti stranieri e limita il numero di studenti di una stessa nazionalità al 10% per garantire un'esperienza veramente internazionale. Tutti gli insegnanti dell'ISSOS sono professionisti e provengono dalle migliori università e organizzazioni del mondo.

ISSOS International Summer Schools are amazing. The staff are incredibly welcoming. The teachers are engaging and encouraging and their classes are interesting and dynamic. The accommodation is safe and comfortable. The location was wonderful and there is the opportunity to go on fun and interesting trips. I would recommend ISSOS to anyone who wants to practise and improve their English skills, study interesting academic and elective classes, meet friends from lots of different nationalities and have so much fun!

ISSOS at Yale is set within the grounds of Yale University. Students are housed in the historic Trumbull College which provides them with a very comfortable and safe ‘home away from home’ for the duration of the three-week program. Trumbull is one of Yale’s most beautiful and most intimate residential colleges. It is said that James Gamble Rogers, who designed nine of Yale’s twelve residential colleges, considered Trumbull his masterpiece.

All students will be housed in Trumbull College with its oak paneled common room facilities, libraries and lawns that students can take full advantage of during their stay.
