At Nagoya JaLS, we give you many chances to actually speak Japanese. It is no fun just repeating what the teacher says. We want you to be thinking, “How do you say this, in that situation” during class time. No matter if you are studying Japanese for the first time, or if you have already started, our goal is to help you get better at using Japanese in a short time. For efficient oral practice, this program is for you!

Tokyo JaLS si trova nel cuore del Tokyo ed è una delle scuole preferite in Giappone. La scuola specializza nell'insegnamento di Giapponese a studenti stranieri come te. Il numero di studenti per classe è molto basso (8 students maximum) e gli insegnanti sono madrelingua Giapponese. "Excellent teaching and very nice facilities"

- All teachers were at least decent, and several were really excellent (Takashi and my private tutor Michiko in particular)
- Group activities (though I couldn't go to many due to private lessons) were fun
- Good group of diverse students

Disliked
- The apartment arranged for me was not great - very small, only one small pillow, the cheapest possible towels etc. This is probably at least partly my fault - it was very cheap, and that's a good thing, particularly given that most of JaLS' students are probably younger and poorer than I. If I came again, I would arrange my own apartment directly.
