Studia lo spagnolo negli altopiani del Chiriqui, presso la nostra scuola di spagnolo a Boquete! La scuola Spanish by the River è immersa nel verde, ha un frutteto, una splendida vista sul vulcano e molti uccelli tropicali. La nostra scuola di spagnolo a Boquete insegna spagnolo agli studenti dal gennaio 2006. La scuola si trova a 5 chilometri da Boquete, all'ingresso del villaggio Palmira. A Boquete troverai molti alloggi, ristoranti, bar, locali, banche, internet bar, una discoteca e alcune piste da ballo all'aperto per le occasioni speciali.

La scuola si trova a soli 180 metri dalla fermata dell'autobus e il bellissimo frutteto è il luogo ideale per rilassarsi tra una lezione e l'altra. Dal giardino si ha una splendida vista sul vulcano Barú. Potrai vedere molte specie di uccelli, tra cui i colibrì che amano i fiori di banana e i fiori d'arancio. La scuola è il luogo ideale per gli studenti che amano la tranquillità e vogliono unire l'apprendimento della lingua spagnola con uno stile di vita all'aria aperta. Se ti piace uscire e andare a ballare ogni giorno, questo non è proprio il posto adatto. L'unica discoteca in città è aperta tutte le sere, ma c'è molta gente solo nei weekend.

"Two weeks of Spanish course well spent!"

Nice and very flexible staff. Spent one week in Boquete and then spontaneously spent the other week in Bocas del Toro because for me Boquete was a little to quite, especially during the rain season. However very cute hostel with a lot of hummingbirds and a nice garden. The teachers were all very nice and spoke English as well so there was no problem, even for beginners.

"Cozy hostel and very personal lessons"

Great experience! The hostel was very cozy and the staff friendly. The Spanish lessons were intense but we learned a lot, our Spanish teacher really pushed us in a good way!

"A beautiful easy-going place to learn Spanish and enjoy nature"

I had a private room, which was super nice and clean, but I could never get the hot water in the shower to work.. maybe that was just me. The door was really hard to open; you should fix the lock if you haven't. I was with the Travelling Classroom, and for the week in Boquete my teacher was Mariel. She was the perfect teacher. I really enjoyed her classes, especially the conversations where she would share a lot about her own life experiences. In general, I found Boquete to be filled with possibilities when it came to activities, and I wish I would have had more time for these. We did try to do a scooter ride, but that was impossible because no scooters were working or something. Also we talked about other activities such as horses, but that also had to be scheduled several days ahead. It seemed to me like that was the case for most activities, which makes it hard when you are only staying for a few days.

The tree trek was fun and I also hiked the El Pianista. It was super wet - lots of rain and filled rivers, but Feliciano was a great guide and we made it to the top in good spirits!

What I did not like that much were the kitchen facility, because it was really small and a bit messy when everyone where cooking. I also felt like some equipment were missing.

I liked the fixed fee for taxis and they were easy to get a hold of during daytime. I also liked that there was a little supermarket in walking distance.

Ruby was a great host, and she seemed to know Boquete pretty well, gave good advice for activities, and made excellent pancakes. :)

If you like to be independent, yet share with fellow students, we recommend staying in our hostel at our Spanish school in Boquete whilst you study Spanish in Panama. We have 4 bedrooms with a shared bathroom. Each room can be shared by up to 2 students, but you if you don’t mind paying a little more you can have your own private room. There is also one private room with a private bathroom. A kitchen is available to everybody staying in the hostel. There is Cable TV at the school, so lots of movies, music and information in Spanish (and English) is available. We also offer a continental breakfast in the morning.
